The Chapel G block was planted in 2008, comprising 14.3 acres of Syrah. With its high-density spacing and new clonal material, the block immediately stood out to our winemaking team, inspiring them to capture the pure qualities of the site. The 2020 Chapel G Syrah captivates with an enticing nose of ripe blue fruit, intertwined with subtle notes of black peppercorns, cacao nibs, tobacco leaf, and graphite. On the palate, it showcases a refined structure with fine powdery tannins, indulgent dark chocolate, and persistent blackberry flavors. Roasted fennel adds a savory touch. The well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity suggest excellent aging potential. Pair it with fire-grilled skirt steak, birria, braised short ribs, or braised root vegetables for a versatile culinary experience.
